Established in 1992, the Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council (PMAC) advises the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on issues affecting the residents of Pescadero, Loma Mar, Butano Canyon and other South Coast communities. The PMAC's chief objectives are to:

  • Promote the general welfare and progress of the Pescadero area as an important and integral part of San Mateo County.

  • Enhance the environment through preservation of prime agricultural and open space lands.

  • Improve health and safety in the community.

  • Promote educational opportunities for all residents.

In addition to its regular public monthly meetings, the PMAC works through a structure of standing and ad hoc committees made up of council members and interested residents. Your participation is encouraged and welcomed.

Members of PMAC while elected by the public are not public officials. The PMAC acts in a purely advisory capacity to the board of supervisors.

For information on committee agendas and scheduled meetings, contact the committee chair. To receive the monthly PMAC agenda and minutes, contact the corresponding secretary.

Agendas are available at least 72 hours prior to each monthly PMAC meeting.
