Established in 1992, the Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council (PMAC) advises the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on issues affecting residents of Pescadero, Loma Mar, Butano Canyon and other South Coast communities  In addition to regular public monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month, PMAC works through a structure of standing and ad hoc committees made up of council members and interested residents.

The PMAC's chief objectives are to:

  • Promote the general welfare and progress of the Pescadero area as an important community in San Mateo County.
  • Enhance the environment through preservation of prime agricultural and open space lands.
  • Improve health and safety in the community.
  • Promote educational opportunities for all residents.
The Bylaws of Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council define the procedures under which PMAC operates.

Each of the PMAC Committees have meeting schedules and information available on this site
